By using the Herding Chickens website (herdingchickens.com) or subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to these terms. Please read them — they're written plainly, not to confuse you.

What Herding Chickens is — and is not

Herding Chickens is productivity software that helps with task initiation, planning, and time awareness for people with ADHD and similar executive-function challenges. It is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, therapy, coaching programme, or substitute for professional healthcare. It does not provide medical advice and must not be relied on in place of a qualified clinician, therapist, or emergency services.

The website

This website is a marketing site. It contains information about the Herding Chickens app, a blog, and a newsletter sign-up form.

Telegram bot

Use of the Telegram bot is optional. You must be 18 or over to use it. Before the bot will work, you must accept our Privacy Policy in Telegram and confirm your age (a short notice with links to these pages, and an Accept control). If you do not accept, you cannot use the bot. The Privacy Policyforms part of these terms: it explains what we store (your tasks and a text-free record of your activity — not a transcript of your conversation), that we use it to run the bot, report internally and improve the product, and that a task's wording may go to our AI provider, currently Anthropic, in the United States — when you ask it to break a task into steps, or when a task doesn't match a keyword area and the bot has a go at filing it for you (you can always correct that guess).

Early access

The bot is early access and free. Features may change or be removed, data may be reset, and the service may be interrupted or discontinued. We will give reasonable notice of a planned shutdown where we can. There is no automatic export today, so if something matters to you, keep your own copy of it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the bot to:

• break the law, or help anyone else do so
• store or send content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes someone else's rights
• attempt to disrupt or overload the service, probe it for weaknesses, or work around its rate limits
• automate access to it, or resell access to it, without our written permission

The AI breakdown and area-guessing features are provided by a third party and apply its own safety rules; they will sometimes decline to act on a task, and that decision is not ours to override.

Suspension and termination

You can stop at any time — use Start fresh in Settings to erase your data, or simply stop messaging the bot. We may suspend or withdraw access if these terms are broken, if the service is being misused, or if we stop running the bot. Where we end your access for reasons other than misuse, we will delete your data in line with the Privacy Policy rather than keep it.

Availability and warranty

The bot is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no warranty of any kind. We do not promise it will be available, that nudges will arrive on time or at all, that its AI-generated steps will be accurate or useful, or that your data will never be lost. It is an accountability aid, not a system of record: do not rely on it as the only place something important is written down. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Newsletter

By subscribing to the newsletter or waitlist you agree to receive periodic emails from us. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in those emails, or at herdingchickens.com/unsubscribe. We will not send you spam or sell your address.

Intellectual property

All content on this site — copy, illustrations, code, and the Herding Chickens name and logo — is owned by or licensed to Herding Chickens. You may not reproduce it commercially without written permission.

Accuracy of information

We try to keep all information on this site accurate and up to date, but we make no guarantees. Pricing, features, and availability may change. Always check the app for the current state.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Herding Chickens is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or reliance on its content.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised terms, and significant changes will be announced via the newsletter.

The bot does not work that way: if we change these terms or the Privacy Policy in a material way, it asks you to accept again before it will carry on, and it records which version you agreed to. Silence is not acceptance there.
